How to Read Peptide Evidence Grades (A–D)
Most “stack” lists blur animal data and human trials. That makes it hard to tell what is well-supported in the literature versus what is still early.
Atlas scores research compounds with explicit grades:
- A — Approved indication and/or multiple Phase 3 RCTs in humans
- B — Human trials exist; the use may be early-phase or population-specific
- C — Limited human data plus a mechanistic rationale
- D — Almost entirely animal or cell data
A Grade D result is not “bad science” — it is an honest gap. Treating rodent papers as if they were Phase 3 is how hype happens.
Why this matters for lab planning
If you are organising a literature review or comparing compounds for a research catalogue, grades keep the conversation grounded. Atlas also applies hard safety exclusions that remove whole classes when appropriate (for example pregnancy-related stops) and avoids stacking conflicting pathways.
